Description: The employee's main responsibilities will be:
- Working as part of the engineering team the Structural Engineer will be responsible for structural calculations on all DEC products
- Attendance at all project meetings both internal and with clients
- As a design engineering company, DEC models its equipment using Autodesk Inventor. Training will be provided for this software package if the candidate is not familiar with the package
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, using both your knowledge and experience
- Adhere to DEC Quality Management System to ensure efficient project results
- Worldwide site visits and offshore visits as required by the job
Experience & Attributes:
- Skilled as a Structural Engineer with practical experience
- Familiar with equipment packages from the oil industry
- Accustomed to dealing with structural calculations, preferably to DNV / Lloyds standards
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Present a professional manner with integrity at all times
- A logical thinker and problem solver, and ability to look beyond the problem
- Ability to work as part of a team with their own initiative
- A practical "hands-on" approach
- Fully competent with Microsoft Office
