In the high risk oilfield business, personnel safety is of paramount importance, in particular, on the rig drill floor. Dynamic Equipment Company have developed unique products to enhance personnel safety and to give greater safe access to personnel on the drill floor to high maintenance areas of the drill floor equipment. Since the beginning of oilfield drilling activity, personnel man-riding, with the use of riding belts and safety harnesses has been used to access areas within the drilling derrick and in the BOP moon-pool area. The man-rider has been attached to an air tugger rated for man-riding and pulled into the derrick by a winch operator, however the man-rider has until now had no control over the winch. The Dyna-EStop gives the man-rider the facility on his chest to stop the winch, whatever the winch operator is doing, thereby for the first time giving the man on the wire control over his position. In recent years legislative bodies have increasingly asked for man-riding to be reduced, and personnel access baskets or cherry pickers have been introduced into the oilfield market. Dynamic Equipment Company has taken a new look at the access basket and developed the Dyna-Platform, which gives an operator a far greater envelope of operation than any other similarly rated products in the market. The Dyna-platform comes in two sizes, standard and compact; both have the same operating characteristics. The Dyna-Release system is a radio operated hook load release system that is employed in the oilfield market to release the lifting strops from the offshore pedestal crane, once the load is safely landed on the deck of the supply boat. This reduces the manual interface in boat to rig/platform cargo handling. The DEC Cranesmart system is a fully radio linked crane safety system that allows a crane operator to monitor the load condition of his crane in the cab, without the installation of wiring on the crane. Originally aimed at the retrofit market, this equipment is now the first choice for a number of new crane operators. Dynamic Safety Systems are: |
